At initial I thought it was a bit excessive but I got over that thought rapidly. I've made bread, cakes, cookies and frostings. I actually adore it for bread. I broke my wrist shortly following I got it and I wouldn't be able to make any bread w/o it. (The hook attachment does an awesome job kneading the dough.) It's diverse than my old mix master in that I have scrape the bottom more usually but I do not care.
